Jaclyn (Jax) Preciado is a dual-licensed special educator, storyteller, and creative strategist dedicated to fostering empathy, inclusion, and belonging. Grounded in Hawaiian epistemology, Jax believes in the transformative power of emotional connection and our kuleana to nurture the gifts—and futures—of those around us.

A licensed special educator with experience teaching middle school inclusion across content areas, Jax holds a Master’s of Education in Teaching from the University of Hawai‘i, a Bachelor’s in Humanities—History, and a Certificate in Gender Studies. She is certified in both secondary social studies and special education and has served as an HSTA school-level leader, advocating for educational equity and supporting her peers.

Jax grounds her work in curiosity, creativity, and pilina (connection), finding joy in reading, poetry, watercolor, and the small acts of care that remind us of our shared humanity.
