Educator Listening Circle

What is a Listening Circle, and who can be involved?: A Listening Circle is an opportunity to to engage deeply and listen closely to each other's thoughts, feelings, and experiences. It is a supportive space that provides the participants to speak their truth about a particular topic.

In order to allow for full participation, each Listening Circle group will include approximately 4 people. There will be a group debrief at the beginning and the end of the session. Though Listening Circles are a wonderful practice for every age, the April 30th listening circle is for educators.

What will we be discussing? The April 30th Listening Circle invites participants to explore their experiences in education. What is your experience in educational spaces at this time?

When is the Listening Circle?: The Listening Circle will be onApril 30, from 4:30-6 PM.

Where is the Listening Circle?: The Listening Circle will be on Zoom to allow for the participation for people from a range of locations and timezones. You will receive a link to the event once you have signed up.

How can I get involved? Just complete this Google form! We hope that you will join us!

What are the expectations?: 1. Please come to the session prepared to listen thoughtfully and respectfully to each of the participants. 2. When it is your time to speak, speak from the "I" perspective and share your personal reflections - We are not responding to or building on what others have shared. 3. Share what you feel comfortable sharing; you can pass at any time. 4. Honor people's stories and respect the confidentiality of what is being shared.
